Carlos D. Fernandez

Carlos D. Fernandez is the Executive Director of AIA Las Vegas and AIA Nevada, representing architects and design professionals across Southern Nevada and throughout the state. In his role, he works to advance the profession of architecture through advocacy, education, community engagement, and initiatives that strengthen the connection between design and the communities it serves.

A Las Vegas native and UNLV graduate, Carlos has built his career around public service, higher education, and community leadership. Prior to joining AIA, he served in public policy and workforce development roles, including with the Vegas Chamber and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He currently serves as a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents.

Carlos is passionate about the role architecture and design play in shaping the future of Las Vegas, preserving its history, and creating opportunities for the next generation of designers. Through his work with AIA Las Vegas, AIA Nevada, and the Nevada Architects Foundation, he supports programs focused on architectural education, scholarships, historic preservation, and expanding access to the profession.

He believes the best communities are built through collaboration between designers, educators, civic leaders, and the people who call those communities home.

Chase McCurdy

Chase R. McCurdy is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, curator, and founder of ThirtyThree Gallery (33.G) in Las Vegas’s Historic Westside. Born and raised in Las Vegas, McCurdy works across photography, painting, sculpture, and the written word, with a practice informed by history, community, identity, and social relationships. His work has been exhibited in the United States and internationally, including solo presentations at the West Las Vegas Library, Left of Center Art Gallery, and UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, while his community-centered work has contributed to the growing visibility of public art and Black artistic practice in Las Vegas.

Andrew Nasrallah

Andrew has 16 years of experience in architecture, holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and has a B.S. in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology from Drake University. He is an Architectural Project Manager for KME Architects where he brings a thoughtful, well-rounded, and seasoned skill set to lead the design and documentation of his projects. His expertise in construction practices, sustainable building, and digital integration makes him a strong asset to the KME team. Andrew is also an instructor at the School of Advanced and Applied Technologies at the College of Southern Nevada, President elect for the Association for Learning Environments – Las Vegas Chapter, an international mentor for the Sustainable Design Build program, and an instructor for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Sustainable Design Pathways Program. He has a stalwart commitment to creating engaging learning environments, community centered design, and teaching the next generation. He enjoys riding bicycles and gardening with his wife in his spare time.

Michele C Quinn

Michele C Quinn is an independent fine art advisory and appraisal services firm specializing in Post-war and Contemporary Art.   She is a lifelong resident of Las Vegas and has provided experienced advisory, strategic planning, collection management, and appraisal services for both private and corporate clientele.  Per Sven Van Assche, Sr. V.P. Design and Architecture (1995-2013):  “In 2005, MGM Resorts International embarked on a groundbreaking effort to develop a mixed-use project on the Las Vegas Strip. CityCenter was complicated and ambitious. Having enlisted some of the world’s finest architects and designers to realize the company’s vision for the project, it seemed a natural that [we] would enlist some of the world’s brightest artists when company executives suggested that the project should have a fine art collection that ultimately would be accessible and experienced by the public.  To accomplish the creation and curating of this unique first-of-its-kind Fine Art Collection in the history of Las Vegas, Michele Quinn and her team at MCQ FINE ART were brought on in 2006 as the lead art consultant on the project, until CityCenter’s completion in late 2010.
